Finding a parking lot in Montreal is difficult. This is a problem that happens in almost every big city in the world. New creative solutions are imperative.

I am developing an application for iOS (iPhones, iPods and iPads) that shows in a map all the street free parking signs in Montreal (almost the entire city). The database was made available by the Ville the Montréal open data website. The development is in progress and the results will be available in a few weeks. You can see here that progress has been made.

This project was developed entirely with Apple native libraries, mainly relying in UIKit, UIMapKit and using Parse as backend.

Uncle Joe’s farm

Uncle Joe's Farm is an entertaining environment for your toddler. It has cows, ducks, pigs and all sorts of farm animals. Find them behind bushes and other secret places, hear real life sounds and make them interact in funny ways. Play short educational puzzles. In the end uncle Joe will make sure everyone is where they belong.

This project was developed entirely with Sprite Kit, which proved to be rather powerful, and I built it from ground zero. Even the art and music were made by me. It was a delight.

As a personal touch, I kept the store and the advertisements separated in a parents area. Security gates avoid toddlers accessing it by mistake.

Beekeeper on the run

The beekeeper is on the run and needs to scape from mad bees. Collect coins, keep an eye on the pitfalls and send the bees away throwing honey at them.

Beekeeper started as reskin in Cocos-2D, but I changed so many things in the code that I ended re-writing almost the entire game. Great learning experience.

Art was provided by the talented and very professional Vikash Jha.

Downriver

Downriver is an canoeing action game. Paddle your way downriver doming the waves, surpassing obstacles and multiplying your points. Swipe the screen back and forward to paddle, keeping your athlete on the right track to victory!

This was my debut in iOS games. Having no experience in this field, I purchased a reskin license of a complete game made in Cocos-2D that allowed me to publish the game after changing the art. Being a developer, I didn’t stop there. I cleaned the code, removed bugs, created a few improvements and included new monetizing mechanisms.

It is to date one of my most popular apps. Art by Vikash Jha (and he did such a nice job here).

Fuelticker

Fuelticker helps to monitor the performance of your vehicle. You input data every time you refuel or make a repairing service, and Fuelticker keeps record of it, calculates consumption and averages, and shows them in plots.

If you already have your vehicle's records cataloged, you can import them to Fuelticker through its website.
