Executive summary
The world telecommunication industry is facing recession in a general way. Markets around the globe are being affected in different ways by the crisis, but everywhere companies have to expand and maintain quality while severely diminishing costs.
This document analyses the situation of a telecommunication service provider in Brazil, in 2003, and poses as a project proposal to reverse the effects of recession improving the company as a whole. Technical and business background is described on the first sections, followed by the analysis of different solution options. Once the best one is identified, a financial plan and risk considerations are developed in sections 3.6 and 3.7. Finally, 3.8 and 3.9 provide a detailed description of the implementation of the project and its effects on the structure of the company.
